Missing Assignment
If a student does not complete an assignment (except due to an excused absence), it is their responsibility to make up it up and they will be required to pay 10 champs bucks.
Planners
- Parents are required to check and sign their child’s planners nightly.
Student Work
- Some of the students graded work will be distributed on Friday afternoon, or the last day of the school week, prior to dismissal.
Reward System:
Individual:
- Students receive 2 "Champ Bucks" for every day they are in school.
- Students are also able to earn "Bucks" for special behavior, helping others, giving a great answer in class, etc.
- Champs Bucks are in the denominations of 1, 5, 10 and 20. Since they are like money, these "Bucks" are also used as a teaching strategy to help students understand our money system.
- Students are able to use these "Bucks" to "purchase" rewards.
- Students can lose "Bucks" for not having their planner signed, not being prepared for class, inappropriate behavior, etc.
Whole Class:
- The class has the opportunity to earn "eagles" for a whole class reward.
- "Eagles" are given throughout the day by faculty who observe a student or class doing something exceptional.
- The number of "eagles" and rewards are to be determined by the majority of the class.
